Appointment of Non-Executive Director

Ultima  Networks  plc  ('Ultima' or the 'Company') is pleased  to  announce  the
appointment of Richard Bearpark as a non-executive director of the Company, with
effect from 1 October 2007.

Richard  Mosely  Bearpark,  58, has a wealth of entrepreneurial  and  management
experience  gained over 38 years in the IT industry. Over the last 18  years  he
has  been involved in the operations of 5 IT solution and services companies  as
either  Chief Executive or Managing Director. The last company being  AIM  Group
Holdings  Limited,  a company operating mainly in the legal IT  sector  offering
software solutions to the legal profession.

Mr. Bearpark now runs his own consultancy business, Richard Bearpark Limited, of
which  he  is  a director. He is also a non-executive director of Business  Link
Surrey.

During  the  last five years, he has also been a director of AIM Group  Holdings
Limited,  AIM Holdings Limited, AIM Solutions Limited, AIM Data Systems Limited,
AIM  Commercial Systems Limited, AIM Professional Systems Limited  and  SharpOWL
International Software Limited.

There  are no other disclosures required by paragraph (g) of Schedule 2  of  the
AIM Rules for Companies.

In  welcoming  Richard  Bearpark  to  the Board,  Ultima's  Chairman  and  Chief
Executive Officer, Prof. Humayun Akhter Mughal, said:

'Richard's experience in the IT software and solutions market will be  of  great
benefit  to Ultima. The Company will draw upon Richard's specific experience  in
the  legal IT sector in achieving the group's stated objective of continuing the
profitable  expansion of the group through a mixture of organic growth  and  the
acquisition of complementary businesses. Our focus remains on the IT and related
services division to achieve this objective.'

Robert   Piper,  Ultima's  Finance  Director,  has  been  given  the  additional
appointment of Managing Director of subsidiary company Cognito Software Limited,
which provides integrated software solutions to the legal profession and forms a
major  part of Ultima's IT and Related Services Division. Mr. Piper  is  in  the
process  of  strengthening the Management team of Cognito Software  Limited  and
progressing  business development opportunities. Mr. Bearpark will  be  able  to
contribute to this process.

The  Board  would  also like to thank Peter Thoms for his  contribution  to  the
Company.  Mr. Thoms retired by way of rotation at the Annual General Meeting  of
the Company on 24 July 2007.
